Onesies or .....

Postby ravenrider on Thu Nov 28, 2013 1:21 pm

There's lots of chat around about the benefits or otherwise of "onesies" at the moment.

On hearing this mentioned recently I thought perhaps we should be promoting the "nonesie", as in saying for example a nonesie is far more comfortable than a onesie.

Anybody fancy creating a spoof advert for the nonesie?

It's a romper suit for older people.

They obviously haven't crossed the Atlantic yet then. Americans and Canadians, be very grateful.

The fashion industry are promoting them for general use, but I don't think I've seen one worn outside the home yet. They seem to be popular at home though.

In Australia, it's a romper suit - or one-piece pyjamas - for young children.

Our grandson, aged three, has a onesie.

Yours naturally,

I suppose Raven Rider posted this here because he found them very funny.

Here's a picture of one of our latest boy bands, Onesie Direction:

I've seen older men wearing one piece jumpsuits/ overalls (of the sort a mechanic might wear at a garage), I suppose it's for easier dressing in the morning.

Didn't the ancient Greeks wear cloaks when walking the street and take them off when arriving at a place they would stay awhile? What kind of simple overall clothing could function like that? Quick on, quick off. Personally, I like my robe, but it is not appropriate for public, and easy to ruin.
