Walking clothesfree!

Postby naturalian on Wed Feb 24, 2010 8:06 pm

I enjoy walking clothesfree in the lovely countryside in Kent and have 3 favourite areas that I use, sometimes walking in just my shoes and cap(underneath which I keep a small pair of shorts!) and although I do try and cover up if I see approaching textile walkers occasionally I don't get the time. As I'm doing nothing illegal I find a cheery Good day and a smile is all you need to wear and Ive only had 1 negative comment! Any others who are into this natural activity?

Not in the UK at all- only public outdoor nudity is on beaches for me. Have walked between two nude beaches in Spain before, that's all.

I walk around the countryside a lot but rarely clothes-free. The problem I have is with the vegetation which tends to be either prickly  or to harbour ticks. :o

I love walking naked along the water line at Morfa Dyffryn beach, especially at low tide. There is a wonderful sense of wide open space and the mountains make a huge amphitheatre beyond the dunes. It's the opposite of our usual venues where we have to lurk behind high hedges and curtains.

I am also a bit more wary about meeting people who may be surprised or even frightened to see me where they wouldn't expect it. It may not be illegal as such but I could do without the hassle of convincing the police or a magistrate of that.

I walk clothes free most Thu and run a walking group with organised walks once a month (Somerset Strolling Bears). This is our third year of existance and to date we enjoy the countryside as nature intended without having our enjoyment spoiled by prudes. We walk in open moorland, woodland and shoreline where textile interactions are rare.

even in crowded england its possible to find countryside that is often empty of people.. especially if you can pick your time...and are prepared to make the effort to get off the beaten track.

I intend to go for a nude hike tomorrow morning. I've been out a couple of times recently, walking for miles through the moorland and woods of Cannock Chase. It seems like I keep coming up on elderly lady dog walkers without time to slip on a pair of shorts. If walkers are on another path, I don't bother with the shorts. I have never had any negative reaction.
