Finally found and uploaded the picture I shot in October, 2001 of the Vulcan Fighter at the Museum of Flight, East Fortune Airfield, near Haddington, Scotland. My Dad and I enjoyed touring the Museum, while my Mom used her field-glasses to watch the local birds and wildlife.

The museum of flight is relativly close to both of Lothian's unofficial nude beaches. My current avatar is taken on one of them, (Tyneinghame.) So If you ever come back there is a chance of a skinny dip!

Still semi-grounded by unwell child. :( So no chance of going for a skinny dip anytime soon. :(
Meanwhile, a couple I know have expressed an interest in visiting a c/o beach that I've been to on holiday. they have tried a naturist beach before, but got put off by meercats & DOM's. I've given them copies of my holiday pics of the beaches. (Of the scenery, not the people!) & website details for the location, so they may give it another go. :)

Still no prospect of any sort of skinny dip in sight. I'm either at work, or the weather is such that only a complete nutter would venture out without loads of layers on. :(

Mind you, I've never claimed to be anything other than a complete nutter.......

It was the mainstay of our nuclear deterrent force from 1953 to 1984. One was brought out of retirement when Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands and made the longest ever non-stop bombing run, with air to air refuelling en-route, to bomb, not very effectively, Port Stanley runway. Design work was started by Roy Chadwick (AVRO) who also designed probably the best bomber of World War 2-the Lancaster, although he did live to see the Vulcan fly, as he died at the young age of 54years in 1947. The Vulcan had a top speed of around 620mph. and there is only one airworthy example (XH558) flying today.

I kind of regret that the TSR2 which was the same sort of vintage, got cancelled. It would have been amazing!

Went for a walk along the beach. However althoght the temperature was technically above freezing, there was a strong north wind, & I decided that I wasn't that complete a nutter, as I was getting cold even with several layers on. So I chickened out & stayed textile. No skinny dip. The tide was out & the sea rough anyway.

The fence that I mentioned before has enclosed most of the back of the dunes. Although it would be possible to climb over the new gate & walk through the field, the farmer has parked a trailer in front of it. I think the result will be to channel people over the dunes so they arrive on the beach just above my favourite spot. This probably puts paid to any nude sunbathing or skinny dipping there. I think the intention is to discourage people from walking past the holiday chalets. It may mean that the far end of the beach becomes less used, & the people in the chalets have it to themselves. This is probably the intention. I can't even take advantage of this as there is a campsite just over the burn, so moving round the corner into the bit behind the new fenced off bit isn't an option, at least in the holiday season. :(

Put some signs up in the area that say something like, "Naturist Holiday Chalets"

Then maybe you'll have some people joining you on the beach. :D

Funnily enough, putting up unauthorised signs is against the bye-laws. Happily, nakedness itself isn't. :)

Just got back from a day in the mountains. I managed a nude snow angel at about 1010 meters! Glorious sunny day, snow everywhere. :D
Didn't manage to bag a Munro naked :( as too many people about!

Wow, a nude snow angel at 1010m above the sea. That's quite impressive. :)

It's next to the summit cairn at osgb NO 24517 85676, and it turns out it's at about 1150 m. The actual Munro summit is about 500M North, 5M higher and not suitable for snow angels anyway, even if a couple of textiles hadn't appeared just as I was considering one there!

P.S. "Do not attempt this at home, as this stunt was performed by a specially trained stunt naturist."
"No naturists or cats were harmed during the taking of this photo."

Off up some more mountains next weekend & the forcast is sunny. :) However it's with a group of textiles so absolutely no chance of a nude snow angel!

And Lo, as had been fortold there was no nude snow angel. :( However there was sun & snow & a nice walk in both. :D

Also I got in a bit of skiing :D Textile, but nude skiing in Scotland is only for the suicidal, pyrexial, or those who are tired of having all their appendages....

While the board was offline I did visit my favourite beach, & did attempt a skinny dip. Since I measure the sea temperature in terms of "how long does it take your legs to go numb." It was very cold sine the answer was "As soon as you get into the water." So it turned into a skinny paddle since I didn't go in more than about thigh deep. The tide was out as well which doesn't help. I did enjoy being briefly skyclad. Out of the water it wasn't too cold considering the time of year.

I managed a sauna today, :) but as it was at one of the councils facilities, I was pretty sure that it would be of the "keep your swimming costume on" variety* . I read all the rules & safety warnings, & was just arriving at the conclusion that although nudity was not expressly allowed, it was implied, & not forbidden, when I found a set of rules on a not particularly obvious notice, which included "wear a swimming costume at all times." :( So I sat in a sauna & later in a spa, feeling rather overdressed in a pair of thick shorts which filled up with bubbles....
Oh well, nice to get a sauna anyway. Pity about the shorts. It's not as if the place was even crowded.
Also nearly managed to crash the car in the snow. As I came up to traffic lights, going quite slowly, I gently braked, well back & the ABS instantly cut in & the car just kept on going. :o
Fortunately, I was still able to steer a little & I avoided the back end of the car in front by a few feet. :D However it gave me a heck of a fright. :|

*Because, years ago two men were caught doing sex in another of the councils saunas, so nudity got formally banned.
