ISP problems

Postby Cat on Tue Mar 30, 2010 8:57 am

They failed to notify me that things were due for renewal so the site was suspended. Their 24/7 support was terrible and it took them 2 days to reply to my first message. 10 messages later and I eventually got everything sorted out (or thought so) but it appeared the package was not the same as before and we had exceeded our transfer allocation. Upgrading the service took a further day but at least we are back. I'm so sorry for the week we were offline. I've now given the task of keeping everything renewed to a friend who runs other web sites so we shouldn't get a repeat of this.

Good to know what happened, and as always we're terrifically lucky and grateful that you created this place for us at all.

Thanks, Cat, for getting the board back up! I know this is a labor of love for you. :)

Is there any possibility of getting a new "they"?... the ones who failed to notify you, and then took so long to get everything back in order.

Good to have everyone back here, its only when something is taken away that you realise how much you miss it.

I looked around for another forum to join in case it was terminal here. But I couldn't find one I would want to join.

So add my thanks for keeping up the good work.

As John Denver sang:
"Hey, it's good to be back home again
Sometimes this old farm feels like a long lost friend
Yes, 'n, hey it's good to be back home again"
