Ah - the number of posts seems to have disappeared?

So why are the smilies on in some areas, and not in this one?

I really like how you've moved things back to the left. The board looks really good Cat.

Ahhh . . . thanks (again) Cat! It's definitely my preferred "side".
But - the post count has disappeared. Is it possible to restore it?
I think we can do without the "date joined" stuff, but the post count is always handy.

If I click on "JonR" under your avatar, it takes me to your profile where your Post Total is listed:
Total posts: 486

I agree that it would be nice to have that Total listed on each post with your Name and Avatar. I wonder if the Greasemonkey plugin for Firefox would allow that change to be made? Azmodan, is this something you've tried???

I've asked Cat about that, but I haven't heard back yet. It may simply be something she needs to enable.

Has anyone else noticed that the search function does not work properly?
It seems that only messages posted since the new software was installed are actually searchable.
Try searching for "beach" and you'll see what I mean. There must be hundreds of posts mentioning that word in the archives, but they don't show up.

The post count was removed to slim down the avatar area as I didn't feel that is was particularly important to be visible all the time. I've put it back now.

Searches should now work. When the database was converted for the new software it didn't do the search index but that's now been done.

To achieve this post I simply clicked on the "quote" box in the top right hand corner of your post. This gave me a "reply'" box with your quote reproduced in the top of the box. Because your quote is so brief I did not edit it in any way. Like you, my "Disable BBCode" tick box is blank. I hope this helps.

AussieIan.
